Presenter Bio - Joanna DeMott

Joanna DeMott is currently the Military Liaison and Program Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) in the Office of Military Affairs.

She has a personal connection to the military community and many personal military affiliations. She has relatives who served in WW1, WW2, and Korea; siblings who served in the Army and Air Force and is the spouse of a Marine veteran who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. She has made a career for over 20 years serving Marines, Sailors, and their families in both paid and volunteer capacities. She has a passion for serving the military community. She uses her experience and passion for helping service members, veterans, and their families succeed as the Military Liaison and Program Coordinator for UNCW. She is active with many non-profit organizations serving the military community and is often the guest speaker at transitioning service member and military spouse conferences and events.
