Scaling a highly effective Hispanic student support program across multiple locations can be a daunting task. Maricopa Community Colleges were able to do just that by transitioning their student success mentor program to trained student success coaches.  These highly trained coaches embody both the institutional knowledge required to guide students and the soft skills needed to motivate and positively impact their students’ lives. They ensure that their success coaching model is culturally relevant, accessible and inclusive of targeted student populations, and that it navigates the complexities of communication through text, email or telephone while providing effective case management.
