Ensure Comprehension, Compliance & Compilation for Accurate Submission

Join us on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and hear from Leigh Fickling – the Deputy Coordinator, Title IX, and Clery Compliance Accessibility Consultant at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington – on the key final checkpoints to review before you publish your ASR. We’ll take complex requirements and translate them into plain language. Take advantage of this webinar to ask questions and get the critical answers you need to ensure you have met the latest guidance requirements and incorporated them into your ASR appropriately.

Rather than a Clery Act overview, we will move beyond the basics to help participants create an organized network of data collectors for the Annual Security Report (ASR). This webinar will go over compliance issues and provide clear, straightforward solutions to campus professionals responsible for filing this report.

Ensure your key stakeholders who will help contribute data and information to the ASR are part of this critical conversation. Have a clear communication plan in place for the data collection and submission to remain compliant and avoid costly mistakes.

Topics Covered

As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the major exposure points for institutions in geography, crime classification, and policy statements – report accurately and avoid compliance errors, including new requirements for Title IX reporting.
  • Understand the specific requirements needed to collect data and how to report it – know what is required to publish (and if necessary, amend) your report appropriately and accurately.
  • Translate the complex Clery requirements required by the recent Department of Education guidance and program reviews and incorporate them into your ASR BEFORE the October 1st deadline.
  • Work towards publishing a compliant and thorough ASR by conducting a final inspection of the essential elements to help ensure you have met all your obligations.
  • Create a network of key stakeholders who will help to contribute data and information to the ASR.
  • Establish a clear communication plan for data collection, in advance of the creation and compilation of the ASR.
