PresenterPhotoDr. Meggen Tucker Sixbey is a Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Director of the University of Florida’s (UF) Counseling and Wellness Center. She is one of 12 Clinical-Law Enforcement learning site partners who were selected by the Bureau of Justice Administration’s Council for State Governments to provide content expertise and training to law enforcement around the country.

Dr. Sixbey directs the UF Crisis and Emergency Resource Center and coordinates the counseling response to campus crises and emergencies. Since 20212, she has served on UF’s multidisciplinary threat assessment and behavioral consultation team where she offers mental health consultation regarding individuals who pose potential safety risks to campus. Additionally, she is one of 12 clinical-law enforcement learning site partners who were selected by the Bureau of Just Administration’s Council for State Governments to provide content expertise in informing law enforcement-mental health collaboration policies and procedures nationally. Dr. Sixbey provide training in Psychological First Aid and Crisis intervention Team (CIT) training to law enforcement around the country.

Dr. Sixbey received her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Florida, with a specialization in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
