Presenter Bio - Brandon Washington

Brandon Washington is the Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Brandon’s office leads the University’s efforts to adhere to federal and state anti-discrimination laws. Prior to joining UNC, Brandon was the Director of Institutional Equity and Title IX Coordinator at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. Brandon also spent 5 years as an investigator, trainer and mediator with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR). During his time at OCR, Brandon investigated over 170 federal civil rights cases. 

Brandon holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, a MBA from Charleston Southern University and a J.D. from Florida A&M College of Law.
