Brianne Frazier currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement and Success at EdPlus at Arizona State University (ASU Online) where she focuses on building affinity between current ASU Online students and the university through meaningful opportunities for them to engage.

Brianne has leveraged her marketing, people, and communications skills throughout her career. During the early part of her career, Brianne worked in the banking industry, first as a full-time teller while going to school full-time, and then as a Financial Services Representative before working her way up to becoming an Assistant Customer Service Manager. She honed her skills of working with and developing people and then decided to move out of the banking industry to take a chance within the higher education sector.

In 2008, Brianne joined the University of Phoenix as an Academic Counselor, where she was tasked with advising students on requirements to get to graduation. Her initial plan was for this role to be a “steppingstone” to move into UoP’s marketing department; however, she fell in love with working with students, and that role completely changed the trajectory she had in mind for the rest of her career. After a couple of years, Brianne moved into management and led several teams of academic counselors.

After these experiences, Brianne returned to her maroon-and-gold roots in 2017 to join ASU Online, part of EdPlus at Arizona State University. She started as a Success Coach Lead, where she developed coaching staff who assisted students, focused mainly on retention efforts and strategies. Brianne was promoted in 2019 to Assistant Director of Student Success where she oversaw all of ASU Online’s orientations and worked to bring resources to online students that could aid in their success. Then, in 2022, Brianne was promoted to Director of Student Engagement and Success, focusing mainly on building affinity between current ASU Online students and the university through meaningful opportunities for them to engage. With the help of her team, she oversees online student clubs and organizations, social media and other digital platforms, and creates events and opportunities that drive engagement. She also serves as the advisor for online students within the Associated Students of Arizona State University (the university’s official student government structure), advocating for the needs of the online student body.

Since starting in this role, ASU now: (1) livestreams large, signature university events (concerts, etc.) for online students, the ASU Online student clubs and organizations are now recognized as part of ASU’s annual Pitchfork Awards, online students are now part of ASASU – the Associated Students of Arizona State University – ASU’s official student government structure, and we have a graduation celebration specifically designed for ASU Online graduates, and much more.

Brianne earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2006 from Arizona State University, as well as a master's degree in psychology in 2015 from University of Phoenix.
