Camden Ege is currently serving as the Program Coordinator in the Office of Military Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Camden brings a wealth of expertise and experience in the field of veterans’ services and educational compliance.  He spent several years as the Director of the Maine State Approving Agency, implementing provisions of the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act and the Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020.  In this pivotal role, he played an instrumental part in ensuring educational institutions met the requirement for receiving VA educational benefits.  His commitment to compliance and his vast knowledge of federal statutes and VA policies helped pave the way for improved access to quality educational for veterans in the state of Maine.

Immediately prior to his role at UNC-Wilmington, he served as the Assistant Director of Veterans Services at the University of Southern Maine.  In that capacity, he spearheaded initiatives to enhance veteran support programs, providing crucial resources and guidance to veterans navigating the complexities of university life.  Under his leadership, the University of Southern Maine saw significant advancements in its veteran service, earning a solid reputation for its dedication to military-affiliated students.

His journey began with his own service in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces member.  Stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, his service and dedication earned him numerous awards, including the Air Force Achievement Medal, 2012 Non-Commissioned Office of the Year, 2010 Airman of the Year, and several more.  Upon separation from service, Camden pursued undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern Main where he graduated with honors.

Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his exemplary service and notable contributions to the veteran community, receiving numerous awards and accolades.  Beyond his professional achievement, he is deeply committed to giving back to the community.  He actively participates in various organizations, volunteering his time and expertise to further causes related to veterans’ welfare and education.
