PresenterPhotoCharles (Reb) Gregg is currently a licensed attorney in Houston, Texas and specializes in outdoor liability law.

For the past 20 years Reb has worked primarily with recreation and adventure-based programs and is a leading practitioner, lecturer and writer in managing legal liability issues for such programs. He was identified in the July 2002 issue of Outside Magazine as "the Dean of the Outdoor Bar."

In October 2009 the co-sponsors of the Wilderness Risk Managers Conference honored Reb by establishing The Charles (Reb) Gregg Award for Exceptional Leadership, Service, and Innovation in Wilderness Risk Management.

Reb's clients include outdoor schools, adventure travel and study abroad programs, college and university outdoor programs and clubs, and challenge course constructors, operators and facilitators.

Reb presently serves as counsel to the Association for Challenge Course Technology and serves on the Risk Management Committee for Outward Bound International.

He served until recently on the Wilderness Risk Managers Committee, whose members include Risk Managers of outstanding programs around the country. The Committee sponsors an annual conference on risk management issues.

Throughout his career, Reb has served on numerous governance and advisory boards and as general counsel, including 30 years with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Presently he serves on the Accreditation Council of the Association for Experiential Education.
