Presenter Bio - Courtney Wallace
Courtney Wallace is the Director of Admissions – Chicago Region for Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. She has experience working in college admissions for nearly 18 years and loves the work of enrollment management.
Before joining the Augustana Admissions team in the fall of 2012, Courtney worked on campus for three years for Missouri University of Science and Technology and served six years as their very first Regional Counselor. During her time at S&T she managed a primary recruitment market for the university, a typical first year recruitment of out-of-students from the Midwest, and also undergraduate and graduate international recruitment and made trips to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and India. Courtney helped develop a regional model and eventually ended up supervising Missouri S&T’s three other regionals. Courtney currently lives in Oak Park,IL. She manages a large first-year recruitment territory, supervises Augustana’s Chicagoland Regional Team, the Director of International Student Recruitment and serves as a Slate Team Captain. She values building relationships with students, families and school counselors in Chicagoland. She is gratified when she can educate others on the college search and when she is able to help a student find their best college fit. She is also generous with her time as a volunteer to professional organizations within enrollment management. Courtney just finished serving as the chair of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) Finance Committee and served a 3 year term as Illinois Association for College Admissions Counseling Treasurer along with many other leadership roles within IACAC. She is also a Chicago Regional Admissions Representatives (CARR) Past President and spent 6 years on the CARR Executive Board. Courtney and a colleague recently launched IACAC’s Elevate – a seminar series for women in enrollment management leadership.
