PresenterPhotoDaylen Orlick (he/him) serves as the Associate Director for Family Programs at George Mason University. He joined George Mason University in January of 2021 and has enjoyed every minute of it.

Daylen obtained his Bachelor's degree in Marketing and his Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies at Hofstra University. While in his time as a Graduate student at Hofstra University, he worked as the Graduate Assistant for Leadership and Evening & Weekend Programming. He also served as the President of the Higher Education Graduate Student Association and President & Founder of the Chi Sigma Alpha Student Affairs Honors Society at Hofstra.

Prior to working at George Mason University, Daylen worked as the Manager of Student Engagement & Greek Life at Long Island University-Brooklyn. In this role, he facilitated orientation, supervised the Fraternity & Sorority Life community, oversaw all leadership development initiatives, and advised a caseload of 150 students.

In his current role, Daylen works with facilitating a wide variety of family programs and initiatives. These programs include the Family Support Series, a monthly virtual programming series for parents, families, and supporters to meet with non-academic departments and stakeholders, Family Orientation, and Mason’s annual Family Weekend. In addition to these things, Daylen manages the Mason Family Connection, the official engagement portal for parents, families and supporters. Through the portal, Daylen manages all the assessment data for the Fall and Spring surveys and programs to report out to divisional leadership.

In his free time, he loves going and finding new places to eat throughout the entire D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, relaxing with his two cats Cashew & Latte, and adventuring with his fiancé, Emma. Additionally, he enjoys playing video games and binging all the seasons of shows like New Girl, West Wing, Chicago Fire, and more!
