Presenter Bio - Dr. Gregory J. (Greg) Nayor

Dr. Gregory J. (Greg) Nayor currently serves as the Senior Vice President for University Strategy at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. In this capacity, Nayor serves as an integral member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, providing strategic leadership over the University’s key strategic priorities and activities, comprehensively leading the University’s enrollment, marketing, and communications functions, and serving as the University’s designated lead for emergency management and crisis response.
Immediately preceding this role at La Salle, Nayor served as the Senior VP for Strategic Initiatives at Daemen in Amherst. As such, he essentially served as the chief operating officer of the university with responsibility for all aspects of the student life experience from recruitment through retention, including the management of enrollment services, marketing and communications, and student affairs.
Dr. Nayor has extensive experience consulting for institutions of higher education on best practices in campus safety, emergency response training, health and wellness, behavioral assessment and intervention teams, student codes of conduct, and strategic planning. Working with administrators at institutions large and small, public and private, Nayor is able to help institutions realize their potential and work through the challenges.
During his 25 year career in higher education, Nayor has assisted colleges and universities in which he has served to navigate the prevention and remediation of communicable diseases and other various outbreaks including the COVID-19 pandemic, measles, scabies, lice, as well as the annual flu and norovirus cycles. In September of 2023, as recognition for his work in this field, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Nayor was presented with an honorary Master of Public Health degree from Daemen University.
Dr. Nayor has also held senior leadership positions at the University of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia, Virginia Intermont College, in Bristol, VA, and the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA. An energetic and innovative leader, Dr. Nayor has served on various committees and organizations at the state and national level including the NASPA Region II Governing Board and the Western New York Consortium Sexual Assault Prevention Task Force.
Dr. Nayor holds a BA in History and Secondary Education and a Masters in Education from the State University of New York (SUNY)- College at Potsdam, as well as an earned doctorate (Ph.D) from the University of Virginia in Higher Education administration.
