Presenter Bio - Dr. Jacquelynn Thomas
Dr. Jacquelynn Thomas is the Associate Director of Residential Assessment and Strategic Initiatives at the University of California-Berkeley.
Dr. Jacquelynn Thomas (she/her/hers) is a skilled student affairs professional with over 15 years of experience in various functional areas such as residential life and housing, academic advising, and online student services. Her professional expertise is in using assessment to empower others in higher education to maximize the experiences of students, student staff, professional staff, and campus partners. Additionally, Jacquelynn uses assessment to assist with the continual improvement of programs and departmental operations.
Jacquelynn has contributed to the field of student affairs assessment through her published work, conference presentations, as well as reviewing assessment-related submissions for peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations. Most recently, Jacquelynn served as the practitioner track chair and faculty at ACPA’s 2024 Student Affairs Assessment Institute.
Jacquelynn earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, her master’s in Counseling from St. Mary’s College of California, and her doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from California Lutheran University.
