Presenter Bio - Dr. James McGhee
Dr. James McGhee is currently the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Dean of Students at Randolph-Macon College located in Ashland, Virginia.
During his career in student affairs, Dr. McGhee has served in various capacities ranging from student engagement to student conduct. He has a passion for student engagement, assessment, learning tools, and practices that improve the student experience and increase organizational efficiency. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Collegiate eSports, and he is enthusiastic about the future implication of eSports for student engagement on college and university campuses.
Dr. McGhee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Averett University, a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech, and a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. His research focuses on student leadership, the impact of Title IX policies, and overall student development.
