PresenterPhotoDr. Lindsay Romasanta is currently the Director of the Student Success Program at the University of California – San Diego.

Lindsay is a first-generation, low-income college graduate and a Pinay scholar-practitioner whose research and professional experiences are dedicated to student success initiatives. She has worked in areas of retention and student support services at Arizona State University and now at that University of California-San Diego. She is particularly passionate about working with first-generation college students to achieve their personal, professional, and academic goals and believes in using strengths-based approaches and resiliency frameworks to do so. In every aspect of her work and research, Lindsay believes that higher education administrators must tackle the deficit-laden beliefs that surround underserved students and instead recognize and celebrate the assets and life experience they brig to their respective institutions.
