Presenter Bio - Dr. Nathan Grove

Dr. Nathan Grove currently serves as a Professor of Chemistry, Director of CSURF, and President of the Faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Dr. Nathan Grove received a B.S. in Chemistry and Secondary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Chemistry Education from Miami University.  He is a Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for the Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). He has been involved in various aspects of faculty governance for nearly a decade and now serves as the President of the Faculty and Faculty Senate. Dr. Grove has spent almost 20 years researching how students learn chemistry and developing innovative and research-based approaches to teaching the subject. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and has received grants totaling in excess of $625,000.
