PresenterPhotoDr. Nikki Kogan currently serves the Florida Atlantic University community as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. Her dissertation, An Exploration of Current Student Conduct Educators’ Knowledge and Application of Learning Outcome and Assessment Practices Within Student Conduct Programs, underscores her commitment to advancing the student conduct profession through meaningful assessment of student learning.

Dr. Kogan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wittenberg University in Ohio and her Master of Science in Education in College Student Development and Administration from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. In December 2022, she completed her Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Student Affairs Leadership at the University of Georgia. Her dissertation, An Exploration of Current Student Conduct Educators’ Knowledge and Application of Learning Outcome and Assessment Practices Within Student Conduct Programs, underscores her commitment to advancing the student conduct profession through meaningful assessment of student learning.

Dr. Kogan’s professional passion lies in providing spaces for student growth and development through the adjudication of university policy violations. She believes the student conduct process should not be focused on the punitive but instead serve as a powerful opportunity to assist students with their transition to collegiate life. Her work centers on helping students understand the impact of their choices—not only on themselves, but also on the broader campus community—so they can make more informed and responsible decisions moving forward.

She is also deeply engaged with the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), having served as 2025 Annual Conference Assessment Chair, and now as the Co-Chair of the association’s Assessment Committee. Her involvement also includes serving as legislative liaison for the Region 8 leadership team, legislative tracker for the Public Policy and Legislative Issues Committee, and member of the Women and Conduct Community of Practice.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Kogan stays connected to her sorority, Delta Gamma Fraternity, by actively serving throughout the years on the advisory board and house corporation for multiple chapters. She also enjoys exploring South Florida’s vibrant theater scene, often attending performances in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.
