Presenter Bio - Dr. Peggy Crowe
Dr. Peggy Crowe currently serves as the Director of the Counseling Center & Student Accessibility Resource Center at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.
Dr. Crowe has earned a B.S. (Sociology; Univ. of Wisconsin-Stevens Point), a M.A.E. (Student Affairs in Higher Education; Western Kentucky University) and a Ph.D. (Higher Education Administration; Bowling Green State University). Peggy has served in various capacities, within higher education, for nearly 30 years. She was a professional staff member in the Dept. of Housing & Residence Life for 15 years (live-in roles for 6 years), served as a Greek House Director for 2 years, as Coordinator for an extended orientation program, taught a University Experience course, advised student groups, and assisted with fundraising efforts within the division of Student Affairs. She has served in a supervisory capacity of both student staff and professional staff throughout her career.
Dr. Crowe also serves on several university committees, is involved with community organizations, and is a committed & passionate higher educational professional. Peggy has served in leadership capacities in professional associations (SACSA (Southern Association for College Student Affairs) and NASPA Region III (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators) and holds memberships in: AUCCCD (Assoc. for Univ. & College Counseling Center Directors) and AHEAD (Association on Higher Education and Disability).
