Ed Mish is an Academic Success Advisor at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH.

Ed Mish brings experience in a variety of fields to his work as an academic advisor. His previous work in higher education, finance, nonprofits and retail informs his advising practice with students. As an Academic Success Advisor at John Carroll University since 2020, Ed has specialized in working with students who are exploring or changing their majors. He also coordinates the curriculum for the first year advising course, Advising for Success, as well as co-teaches Academic Success Strategies, a course designed for students trying to develop their academic skills. He teaches sections of Directed Readings in John Carroll’s Honors Program and regularly accompanies student groups on international immersion and educational travel experiences. Ed earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1993 and a Master of Public Administration from Cleveland State University in 2013.
