Janeen Wilder is the Assistant Director in the Office of Micro-Credentials at the University at Buffalo (UB) in Buffalo, New York.

Holding a Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo in Higher Education & Student Affairs administration, Janeen boasts a robust background in academia and advising. With 17 years of experience in undergraduate advising at UB prior to transitioning to Academic Affairs and the Office of Micro-Credentials in January 2023, Janeen brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her current role.

In addition to her academic qualifications, Janeen has also invested in furthering her expertise in online learning and instructional design. She recently completed an Online Learning Design for Educators Specialization from Macquarie University and continues to pursue additional education in Instructional Design.  Janeen's passion for her work shines through in her collaborative approach to developing and proposing micro-credentials. She enjoys working closely with program leads to conceptualize and craft micro-credentials that meet the evolving needs of students and professionals in various fields. Her ability to leverage her experience in advising and higher education administration, combined with her expertise in online learning and instructional design, makes her an invaluable asset to the Office of Micro-Credentials.

Beyond her professional achievements, Janeen is a lifelong resident of Buffalo, NY, an avid gardener, and mom to one. Her deep roots in the community not only reflect her commitment to the region but also provide her with a unique understanding of the local landscape and its educational needs.
