Headshot of Jessie McGintyJessie McGinty currently serves as the Director of Health Promotion at the University of Denver, where she leads a broad portfolio of campus-wide programs and initiatives that strengthen student wellbeing and success.

Her work spans mental health and suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug education, interpersonal violence prevention, sexual wellness, masculinities engagement, nutrition, wellness coaching and peer education. In this role, she helps advance the university’s 4D Experience by embedding well-being and integrated health into the student journey.

Her professional background reflects deep experience in public health, nutrition, and strategic program development. Jessie began her career as a community dietitian and diabetes educator before serving as a nutrition lead and supervisor for a Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic, supporting families during critical stages of growth and development. She later expanded her impact globally as the nutrition and wellness manager for Google’s employee food program, guiding strategy for a diverse international workforce.

In addition to her applied work, Jessie has contributed to academic and professional training as adjunct faculty at both the University of Denver and the University of New England. Her teaching and mentorship focus on preparing emerging professionals to integrate evidence-based practice with equity-centered approaches to health. Across all roles, she has remained committed to creating environments where individuals feel supported, empowered, and able to thrive. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Science in Biochemical & Molecular Nutrition from Tufts University, is a Registered Dietitian, and a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
