Presenter Bio - Justin Donnelly
Justin Donnelly currently serves as the Interim Director of Campus Engagement at the University of Florida and has worked directly with the event management of departmental and student-run events at various institutions for over 15 years.
In his current role, he is responsible for the oversight of the areas of Campus Events and Traditions and Student Government Advising and Operations which hosts or advises students in hosting a variety of large-scale events such as: concerts, speakers, Welcome Week, Homecoming, etc. He has worked diligently to train students and professional staff on how to present safe and successful events while addressing areas of risk and identifying proper staffing based on the specific needs of each event.
While at UF, Justin was awarded the Administrative/Professional Divisional and University-wide Superior Accomplishment Award for his work on developing and implementing a pod-style concert following the pandemic. This concert set the stage for peer institutions to benchmark how to bring live music back to campuses. Justin received his Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management with a specialization in Event Management and his Master’s in College Student Affairs. On a national level, he has served as the Coordinator for both the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) Programming Board Institute and Concert Management Institute.
