PresenterPhotoKara Tellaisha, MBA (she/her) is currently the Administrative Director, Cleveland Sex & Intimacy Counseling and most recently she served as the Director of LGBTQ+ Student Services at Cleveland State University.

Kara is a native Clevelander with a background in conflict resolution and LGBTQ+ focused education. Kara has worked in various roles in Business Administration and Higher Education, most recently serving as the inaugural Director of LGBTQ+ Student Services within the Division of Campus Engagement and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cleveland State University. Serving as a resource and consultant for the campus community and beyond, Kara provided education and programming focused on LGBTQ+ students and their allies and managed a team of student staff to support the mission and function of the on-campus LGBTQ+ Center.

Kara currently oversees the administrative and business operations at Cleveland Sex & Intimacy Counseling, a group therapy practice that specializes in sex therapy and serves LGBTQ+ clients. Kara is also an experienced mediator and facilitator. Working with Cleveland Mediation Center, she offers mediation training courses several times each year. She also provides LGBTQ+ Safe Space and inclusivity trainings to local organizations. Kara received both her BA in Communication Management and her MBA from Cleveland State University.
