Kim Shank serves as the Director of Admissions at Randolph-Macon College.

With 16 years of enrollment management experience, Kim’s career has successfully spanned through various niches of admissions. She spent many years in territory management learning industry best practices in travel and funnel management. From there, she excelled in overseeing front end admission operations as the director of community and visitor relations. She focused heavily on the campus visit and the creating a first-class experience for daily visitors and recruitment events. Kim’s experience is primarily in small, private, liberal arts college recruitment.

Throughout her career, understanding how to interpret data and use it to set and achieve goals was critical to her success. Enrollment marketing quickly became a passion as she used various metrics to understand how to better market to, motivate, and serve the students and/or influencers she was recruiting to take the next step in the enrollment process. Kim continued to lead the admissions staff through her role as the senior director of admissions when she briefly stepped into an enrollment marketing role for a vendor. She couldn’t stay away from enrollment management for long, and a year and a half later, she came back into admissions as the Director of Admissions at Randolph-Macon College and has been serving in this capacity for a year. In this cycle, the RMC team has delivered a record class.
