Presenter Bio - Marisel Herrera
Marisel Herrera is a Certified Coach with 25 years’ experience and currently the CEO of MariselSpeaks, creator of the ARISE Success Coaching Model, and author of two books — a memoir about her first-generation journey and a coaching book for women.
She currently consults institution and trains college access and success professionals on evidence-based coaching approaches to outreach and retention. Previously, served as the founding director of an award-winning coaching center at the largest university in the US. During her 25-year career, she has mentored and coached countless student and professionals.
Her passion for helping others thrive is informed by her first-generation journey and shapes her roles as a certified coach, author, speaker, and consultant. The author of 2 books, her message affirms that power of education, faith, resiliency, and culture to transform one’s life. Drawing on her journey of grit and grace from the housing projects to academia, she equips audiences with tangible tools and tips for success.
She has a graduate degree in Education and certification from the Gallup and Coaching & Positive Psychology Institutes, and Harvard. She received the 2017 Outstanding First- Year Student Advocate by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience & Students in Transition.
