Presenter Bio - Melissa Goitia

Melissa Goitia, CSEP is currently the Executive Director of the Office of University Events & Protocol and the Office of University Ceremonies at Arizona State University and co-founder of the North American Association of Commencement Officers (NAACO).

Melissa Goitia, CSEP is a distinguished professional with a rich background in university events and protocol. With over 35 years of experience in the field, she oversees the planning and production of large-scale events such as university commencement and convocation ceremonies, as well as other university events and ceremonies. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and is a certified Protocol Officer through the Protocol School of Washington®. Her mission is to create memorable and meaningful experiences for ASU students, families and guests, while upholding the standards and traditions of academic excellence and innovation at ASU.
