Presenter Bio - Monisha Murjani
Monisha Murjani has worked at various colleges and universities over the past 10 years. Most recently, she served as Director of Student Support Services and Intervention.
Monisha Murjani (she/her/hers) has an extensive background in higher education and student affairs working within residence life, case management, and diversity and inclusion. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. Monisha has worked at various colleges and universities over the past 10 years. Most recently, she served as Director of Student Support Services and Intervention for a small, private, liberal arts college outside of Chicago, IL.
As a student affairs practitioner, Monisha’s work in case management and crisis intervention deepened her passion for mental health and supporting those from diverse backgrounds. She decided to return to graduate school and pursue a social work degree. She is now in her second year at Loyola University Chicago’s Master’s of Social Work program, specializing in clinical mental health. She currently is completing her second level internship at a mental health agency dedicated to family wellness where she provides individual and group counseling.
Currently, Monisha works for the Office of Equality at Salesforce. She serves as an employee advocate on the Warmline, an advocacy program for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ employees to gain one on one coaching on issues related to career development, wellbeing, and belonging.
