Presenter Bio - Naomi Drakeford
Dr. Drakeford is the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in University Health & Counseling Services at Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Drakeford earned her master’s degree in community counseling and PhD in counseling psychology from The University of Akron. She is the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and a licensed psychologist at CWRU University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS). She joined the staff at UHCS in 2019. She is passionate about college student mental health, with a special interest in supporting students of color and integrating a social justice framework into services. She is committed to making mental health a priority for all students and creating spaces on campus that support students in thriving and not just surviving. Dr. Drakeford’s other professional interests include training and supervision, group therapy, and outreach intervention. Personally, she is a proud Ohioan and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
