Presenter Bio - Nelson Barahona

Nelson Barahona currently serves as the Assistant Director of New Student Transitions and Family Engagement at Florida Atlantic University.

Prior to his time at FAU, Nelson worked for Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation where he assisted training frontline staff to create meaningful and memorable experiences for its patrons at over 200 locations. Now at Florida Atlantic, Nelson directly oversees and trains the FAU Orientation Leader team to use authentic storytelling and customer service to provide an immersive experience and introduction to campus resources for nearly 5,00 students and 3,000 families on a summer to summer basis.
