Presenter Bio - Nicholas DeFalco

Nicholas DeFalco is the Executive Director of Transfer Recruitment and Admission at DePaul University.

Nicholas has worked within transfer admission since 2011 and currently serves as Executive Director of Transfer Recruitment and Admission at DePaul University. He has held leadership positions within the Private Illinois Colleges and Universities (PICU) organization since 2014, spending 3 years as Marketing Chair, 2 years as President, and is currently serving in the Past-President advisory role. The PICU organization is dedicated to supporting community college students transferring to 4-year private institutions in Illinois and recently conducted research on communication preferences among these students. He additionally serves as a co-chair for the IACAC Transfer Advisory Committee, responsible for hosting professional development opportunities such as the Illinois Transfer Summit. Nick was recently awarded the Bonita C. Jacobs Transfer Champion Award, which recognizes professionals in the transfer field that have exhibited leadership, appropriate risk-taking, and disrupting the status quo. Nicholas holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education as well as a master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership from North Central College in Naperville, IL.
