Shereen Luchten serves as Director Dual Enrollment and College & Career Readiness at Eastern Florida State College.

In her role, she leverages over 21 years of experience in education to create pathways for student success. She oversees dual enrollment policies and procedures in alignment with state statutes, streamlines student processes for efficiency, and supports seamless transitions to college and beyond.

Her 17-year career in K-12 education began in the classroom, teaching middle and high school science in both traditional and virtual settings. Shereen advanced to district leadership as a content specialist for dual enrollment and State and Federal Projects, where she secured and managed multimillion-dollar state and federal grants. Her leadership journey continued as an administrator for exceptional student education, where she oversaw compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and ADA. Later, as Assistant Director in Leading and Learning, she championed STEM initiatives—building community partnerships, developing curriculum, and obtaining grants and state appropriations to implement innovative programs that inspire diverse learners.

A native Floridian, Shereen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Her professional achievements include competitive federal grant awards and recognition for outstanding teacher leadership. Inspired by her family’s ties to the early space industry of the 1950s, she is passionate about motivating the next generation through STEM education. Outside of work, Shereen enjoys Florida’s coastal beauty and actively volunteers with organizations supporting economically disadvantaged families.
