Stefanie Norris, Ed.D, serves as the Director of Strategic Enrollment Initiatives and Transfer Pathways at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). In this role, she oversees the Office of Military Affairs, Student-Athlete Support Services, and leads campus-wide efforts to support transfer and re-enrolling students. Her work is centered on creating inclusive, accessible pathways for unique student populations and ensuring their successful transition and persistence in higher education. 

In addition to her administrative leadership, Stefanie is also a dedicated educator. She teaches in Watson College of Education’s Educational Leadership department in both the Higher Education graduate programs and Leadership Studies minor. Additionally, she teaches in the Honors College at UNCW, where she brings her practical experience and passion for student success into the classroom. Stefanie is a seasoned higher education professional with 18 years of experience, including 16 years at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW).

Her career began in Student Affairs, where she discovered a passion for helping students realize their potential through campus involvement and student employment. This early work laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to student development and success. 

During her doctoral studies, Stefanie deepened her focus on college access, enrollment management, and student success. Her professional journey has spanned several key areas of campus life, including the student union, orientation and transition programs, and strategic enrollment services. 

Stefanie works to make education better, more equitable, and more empowering—not only for her children, but for all future leaders. Her work continues to shape the student experience at UNCW and beyond, driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of higher education.
