Stevie Rose Tohdacheeny Lee (she/her) is originally from Shiprock, New Mexico, in the Navajo (Diné) Nation. Dr. Lee is the Associate Director for the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Native American Initiatives at the University of Denver. She works to support current Native American and Indigenous undergraduate and graduate students with the goal of academic success, retention, and graduation while helping to create a community founded upon social and cultural support. She also liaises between the local Native community and the University.

Stevie acquired her master's in Conflict Resolution at DU in 2010 and recently completed her Ph.D. August 2022. She helped to create the Indigenous Affinity Alumni Group at DU, which serves in the capacity of supporting our Native graduates. Dr. Lee’s research passion is enhancing our educational systems to increase access, equity, and completion with Native and Indigenous students. She also focuses on interweaving critical theory and Indigenous perspectives to explore issues in higher education. In her professional role, Dr. Lee utilizes her lived experiences and scholarly expertise to elevate and center Native and Indigenous communities within higher education.
