Veronica Willis-Oldham, M.A., is a native of Kentucky and a two-time Alum of Western Kentucky University. She serves as the Assistant Director of the WKU Student Accessibility Resource Center which is the point of contact for students to initiate the process for securing ADA related accommodations at WKU.

Veronica was recently appointed by the Governor to serve a second 3-year term on the Statewide Council for Vocational Rehabilitation, whose mission is to promote employment opportunities and continued state funding of supported employment for those with disabilities in Kentucky. Veronica is a member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), and also the local chapter, KY-AHEAD where she has served in several leadership roles.

In addition to processing requests for accommodations, meeting with families with students in transition from high school, Veronica is a liaison between faculty and students when issues regarding academic accommodations arise, providing support, and referrals. She also specializes in coordinating services for the deaf and hard of hearing, which includes coordinating American Sign Language & Live Captioning accommodation requests.

Veronica’s mission is to educate the campus community, while modeling best practices. She has presented and co-presented on many topics related to accommodations and enjoys the opportunity to host conversations related to neurodiversity, mental health, and navigating higher education as a student with a disability.
