Presenter Bio - Whitney Longnecker
Whitney Longnecker is currently serving as the Education Abroad Health and Safety Manager at Texas A & M University.
Whitney Longnecker is an international educator with 15 years of education abroad experience. Her personal study abroad experiences in England, China, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago ignited her passion for education abroad and led to her career in international education. Whitney is passionate about traveler health and safety and risk management and currently serves as the Education Abroad Health and Safety Manager at Texas A&M University.
Service to the profession is also important to Whitney, and she holds volunteer roles with NAFSA. Whitney’s education abroad journey began through her study abroad in the UK and China. Whitney earned an M.A. in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute and was recently awarded a Fulbright International Education Administrators Award to Korea. Throughout her career, Whiney has served in the education abroad offices at Central College, Semester at Sea, Penn State University, and Texas Tech University.
