Description
Understand Risks, Prevention & Response
Investigating cases of AI-generated harassment can be difficult, frustrating and confounding, especially if a perpetrator cannot be identified and supportive measures for impacted individuals are hard to identify and implement. Artificial Intelligence is being used as a tool for harassment and extortion in numerous aways including:
- Deepfake pornography and nonconsensual image creation
- Chatbots and virtual agents to engage in inappropriate and harassing behavior
- Stalking efforts and to impersonate individuals
- Doxxing
- AI-generated avatars used in online games and on social media platforms to harass avatars who represent real people
Perpetrators of AI-generated harassment can remain anonymous and unknown to the targets of harassment; however, their targets still experience emotional and psychological harm.
Our presenter discusses the Title IX intersections with artificial intelligence and harassment, as well strategies for preventing and addressing these types of incidents and issues.
