Description
Create a Greater Sense of Belonging for LGBTQAI2S+ Communities
The year is 2024. Most institutions have been working to increase their capacity to meet the needs of LGBTQAI2S+ members. While there are pockets of excellence around the country, many institutions still struggle with the ever-changing landscape of gender and sexuality.
Join Rev. Dr. Jamie Washington – President of the Washington Consulting Group – as well his guest presenters, Keywuan Cualk - Director of the Center for Social Justice and LGBT Communities at Rutgers University and Vanessa Gonzales – Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs and LGBTQ Outreach at Columbia University who together, bring experience spanning generations across 40 years, for an exploration of pronouns to lavender graduations and drag shows. You’ll gain strategies and best practices for creating a culture that is prepared to embrace not only the members of sexual and gender minoritized communities, but also help cisgender and heterosexual persons develop skills to engage across difference. Expand your knowledge base so you can engage in conversations and support with confidence that you are being inclusive and acknowledging of identity.
