Description
Use an Evidence-Based Strategy to Advance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Efforts Across Campus
The current social climate demands greater awareness and sensitivity to difference and diversity across identities, especially as institutions of all types and sizes continue to grow increasingly diverse. There is a significant need for institutions to assess their environments, programs, and policies as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. As a result, the need to design and implement an effective climate assessment warrants cultural competency and responsiveness to construct a thorough understanding of the perceptions and experiences of members of the community.
Rev. Dr. Jamie Washington — the President and Founder of the Washington Consulting Group and Social Justice Training Institute — and Chad Kee — CEO & Founder of WhitworthKee Consulting, LLC — will introduce a working model that will outline strategies used to center culture throughout each phase of the climate assessment process.
