Identify Best Models for Your Campus to Support Enrollment & Incoming H.S. Students Transitional Needs

In the 2022-23 academic year, there were nearly 2.5 million dual-enrolled students reported in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). When done well, dual enrollment shows promise to increase college access for high school students pursuing postsecondary education. However, colleges then face the challenge of students who are “first-year” both socially and developmentally but are often academically advanced – sometimes with sophomore or junior status- when they arrive on their campuses.

Gather your team and campus partners and join us on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to hear our presenter share her experience building a successful dual enrollment program and creating the appropriate support resources needed to transition these academically advanced “first-year” students to college life. Ensure your faculty and staff are well versed and trained to support this growing and unique population and provide a smooth transition both academically and socially.

Identify the most critical considerations for working with these students and their families and provide the appropriate resources and support they need to achieve their academic and co-curricular goals as enrolled students.
