Description
Examine NEW Regulations to Create, Execute & Sustain an Institution-wide Compliant Digital Accessibility Plan
For the first time in U.S. history, there are now formal standards for digital accessibility that must be met by all public entities — including areas receiving federal and state funding such as public colleges and universities. This long-awaited rule adds digital accessibility requirements to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Institutions have only a 2-3-year compliance deadline for all website and app content, depending on their size and scope, to meet and sustain compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 at the AA level that allows for accessibility to all.
Join us as we examine the new Title II ADA regulations for all website and app content. Our experienced presenters will explain what is and what is not covered under the new regulations, identify key internal and external resources for remediation and accessible content creation, and provide a roadmap for creating and executing an effective, sustainable digital accessibility plan.
Attendees will leave with essential actions and takeaways that will protect the Civil Rights of individuals with disabilities, significantly reduce legal risk, limit liability, and provide a strategic approach to access that can be tailored to an institution’s individual needs.
