Explore Lessons Learned & Create a Blueprint of Action to Ensure Legal Compliance

Join our expert presenter – Allen Groves, Senior Vice President for the Student Experience, the chief student affairs officer of Syracuse University, and an experienced litigation attorney – as he conducts a detailed analysis of the 6+ OCR investigation findings and resolutions that have come in the past six months, as well as an analysis of court decisions on Title VI “hostile environment” claims.  He will also discuss how to establish or revise current processes to promptly identify and address “hostile environment” claims and avoid a finding of “deliberate indifference.”

This webinar will explore the lessons learned from these OCR investigations and findings, providing a clearer blueprint of actions colleges and universities should be taking now to ensure legal compliance, as Title VI enforcement strategy is not expected to materially change under a new administration. Strategies for developing or revising institutional reporting and response systems to quickly identify and respond to a potential Title VI risk and reduce corresponding exposure to the institution will also be explored.
