It’s always interesting to see who various colleges and universities invite to address their graduates during commencement ceremonies. This year, gymnast Simon Biles is at Washington University in St. Louis, singer Sara Bareilles speaks at UCLA, former New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern is at Yale University’s Class Day, “The Office” actor Steve Carell is at Northwestern, “Reading Rainbow” icon LeVar Burton speaks at Howard University and “Today Show” favorite Al Roker is at Siena College (NY). And then there’s Kermit the Frog, the beloved Muppet, at the University of Maryland, his creator Jim Henson’s alma mater.

Other speakers include: U.S. women’s soccer team and three-time Olympic medalist Mia Hamm at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Vermont governor Phil Scott at Norwich University (VT), Illinois governor JB Pritzker at Knox College (IL), basketball player Jonquel Jones of the New York Liberty at George Washington University (DC) and longtime New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter at the University of Michigan.
