The University of Arkansas is embarking on a year-long campus space study to determine how classroom, research and administrative spaces throughout campus are being used. The study will help determine how to improve campus space management systems as over 100 buildings will be assessed through photos, measurements and faculty/staff/student feedback.
"This study will help us see how we can better support our students, further our research initiatives and improve administrative spaces as part of our overall strategic plan," said Vice Provost for Planning Colleen Briney. "We hope this study will also help us determine how we can improve our space management system, overall space data collection process, policies and procedures to better serve our campus community."
Representatives from the university’s Facilities Management office, the Office of the Provost and SmithGroup will work on the study, notifying the campus community before each building visit.
