The College of Business at Clemson University offers its students the C-Suite, a drop-in one-stop shop where they can engage in career-related conversations, gain networking advice, have their resume reviewed, get support with their LinkedIn profile and more. In a convenient space next to classrooms and a café, students can drop in from 10 am to 1 pm. And the C-Suite website offers students starter questions to ask career professionals as a way to alleviate anxiety and encourage more thoughtful conversations.

“The consistency of the C-Suite … and the convenient location are key to its success,” Lisa Bundrick, director of career engagement at Clemson’s College of Business, told Inside Higher Ed. “Students can be so afraid to use our services. We offer a space where they can be vulnerable and feel supported all at the same time.”

C-Suite services have expanded to include faculty coffee chats, space for student organization recruitment, opportunities to engage with the dean and associate deans, and a focus on global experiences every Friday, the publication reported. Bundrick also provides faculty members with a weekly PowerPoint slide spotlighting career engagement programming that instructors can display in class.
