The University of Alabama’s SGA held Academic Acclimation Week at the end of August to spotlight academic and student success resources while helping students with the transition to college. Events included the Get on Board Day involvement fair, the Get on Blackboard Day to help students navigate the Blackboard Learn learning management system and Free Resource Friday featuring an Instagram post with all the university’s free student resources.
The week also included an Ambassador Fair with representatives from each college answering students’ questions and a student/faculty panel.
“Through various events and programs, the designated week aims to acclimate and assist underclassmen in adjusting to their academic routines on campus,” Cassidy Matwiyoff, SGA vice president of academic affairs, told The Crimson White.
