Parents and students are expecting clean, well taken care of facilities that make a good first impression, according to Cleaning & Maintenance Management. The summer turnover is “one of the most visible and high-stakes facility tasks of the year,” the publication states.

So, facilities and maintenance departments must create a detailed turnover timeline that allows for smarter planning. That involves working closely with the housing department, synchronizing custodial and maintenance schedules, prioritizing by impact and access, and using August to do the final polishing.
