Build Meaningful Connections To Improve Retention, Engagement & Success
As colleges and universities face declining numbers of traditional-age students, attracting, retaining, and supporting adult learners has become a strategic enrollment priority. Yet many institutions continue to rely on services and engagement models that were not designed with adult students' unique needs, schedules and life experiences in mind.
Join us on September 29, 2026 to explore how adult learner peer mentoring programs can strengthen belonging, improve retention, and support degree completion for veterans, parents, career changers, and other adult students. Drawing on research and award-winning program models, this session will provide practical strategies for creating meaningful connections, increasing access to support services, and fostering career readiness through peer-to-peer engagement.
Learn how successful institutions are adapting traditional mentoring frameworks to create more student-ready campuses. Through peer-to-peer adult learner mentoring programs, you’ll be better able to reduce barriers to engagement and deliver support in ways that fit the realities of adult learners' busy lives.
