Arkansas State University-Beebe recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open its Esports Lounge in the campus student center. The Office of Student Life and Information Technology Services collaborated on the lounge, which offers six competition-ready gaming stations, a console gaming space and a hangout/strategy area with the potential for streaming. Two levels of esports programming will be provided.
The club sports level will allow teams to compete in regional and online tournaments. The open recreation level will provide co-curricular opportunities for students to use the lounge, checking out gaming stations and enjoying the space.
