Using the common thread of Detroit pride and celebration, student designers at The College for Creative Studies (MI) held their end-of-the-year runway presentation, spotlighting apparel and fashion accessories designs. Select sophomores and students from other majors opened the show, which culminated with collections from graduating designers. Take a look here.
"The theme is always and forever Detroit," Chair of Fashion Design Aki Choklat told Fashionista. "We are Detroit. The students work here [and] they live here — the city is their laboratory… [The designers] can express their identity, individuality and happiness through this wonderful world of fashion. For me, that really reflects what the city is all about and what the future of this city is."
