Many college campuses are blooming this time of year, bringing students outside and fostering community. Others have stunning architecture and picturesque settings, filled with character. U.S. News & World Report recently published its annual list of beautiful college campuses, from Aurora University in Illinois to the University of Washington.

Others in the mix include Pepperdine University (CA), Kenyon College (OH), Flagler College (FL), Georgia Institute of Technology, Indiana University-Bloomington, Swarthmore College (PA) and more.

"The campus acts as ground zero for social interactions and community engagement," Kevin Mercer, grounds and landscape manager at Denison University in Ohio, wrote. "Whether it's students gathering for outdoor events, studying, socializing, or recreational activities, campus green spaces bring students together and foster a sense of community."
