Election Day or Democracy Day is a campus-wide holiday at Stanford University (CA), as students are given the day off to vote and attend events designed to enhance civic engagement. Close to 20 events will run that day. Programming leading up to the holiday included a lecture series, a democracy-focused Shabbat dinner, film screenings and more. There’s also an improv show and a Rock the Vote concert.

Democracy Day will end with a Dine & Dialogue event where faculty and students can discuss democratic politics over a meal. Read more about it here.
